I’m turning a page in my book of life. This next chapter is going to be amazing. I have faith it will. Watch this video or read below to find out!
I was messaging a friend a few days ago and she mentioned, “you seem so busy, how is life?” My response came easily. “I am the happiest I’ve ever been”. I am working diligently at a lot of things I enjoy and where I want my future.
Well, I’ve done enough hinting and have an announcement. As of Wednesday, I am no longer in sales for corporate America. I have packed my belongings and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. I do not intend to have a regular “full-time job”. Instead, I am following my passions and starting my entrepreneurial journey.
There are a few variables in play for these decisions.
- This is the first time in my life that I am fully listening to my heart and PURSUING what was spoken to me. Over the past two years, I have done a lot of spiritual development and reflection. One thing I realized was I did not listen to my instincts enough. I would ignore God’s signs. I would keep using influence from others and follow my “head”. Last fall, one unexpected moment came on Instagram. I had the choice to follow my instinct or ignore and follow my head. Well, I followed my gut, prayed about it, kept listening and it turned out the connect me with my now boyfriend David.
- What you might have training to do isn’t always what you are meant to do. Don’t get me wrong, having training and experience is important to be good at anything. However, I know I am meant for greater. As I have become stronger in my faith, I do not want to settle for “good”. This has been one of the most difficult parts of my decision. I grew up in agriculture and felt “committed” to actively working in industry. But, I’ve identified my calling to connect food production, healthy foods and my generation. If I keep being “good” at selling seed but don’t necessarily enjoy it or feel a higher calling for it, is it the best use of my God-given talents?
- I have been a passive member of Secret Entourage Academy for about one and a half years. This private group of aspiring and established entrepreneurs has given me insight and motivation to combine passions and business. I will open a meal preparation business to offer healthy meals for business people like I have been the past three years. They say the best business ideas are identifying problems and creating solutions. There is a problem in having healthy and “efficient” meals for busy people. I will solve this. I have a background in how food is produced and can share that message with my products and services. I also love healthy protein desserts and can provide those in this business.
This is the biggest change of my life. And I could not be more excited. I have close-knit support. I am growing my exposure in the food and fitness space. And God is pushing me daily to improve, network and excel. As I turn the page to this new chapter, I will use my past skills in writing, marketing, sales and relationship building to succeed. Thank you for being a part of my last chapter. I hope you will join to see what is next on the rough draft.
